BRADY RAANES • DOMINO PODCAST

Brady serves as the Director of Investment Strategy for Raanes Capital Advisors. In Brady has attained a collection of investment industry designations including the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 2006, the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2010 and the Chartered Market Technician in 2017. In 2018, Brady and his colleagues launched Domino, a podcast that explains economic history in an entertaining way. Forbes recently recognized Brady as a 2018 Top Next-Gen Wealth Advisors. He is an active member of the CFA Society of Mississippi and currently serves as President for the Pinebelt Foundation.

Brady Raanes is tasked with researching and organizing the content for Domino.  As a veteran in the financial services industry, Brady takes pride in making complicated stories more understandable.  His fascination with the inner workings of the economy has lead him to pursue a variety of industry designations and begin work on a book to be released in 2019.

 

 
 
MINUTES: January 22, 2019
President-Elect Mark Killingsworth presided over today’s meeting. A.D. Hunt gave today’s invocation. Joe Meador led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Thanks to Phillip Carter and Paula Brahan who served as our greeters today.
 
Brandon Hodges thanked those who helped with today’s meeting and then introduced today’s guests. Scott Hummel had Kevin Croft and Seth Lawrence as his guests. They are both William Carey University business major students. Joey Johnson had Eric Rodgers who is applying for membership as his guest. Steve Ramp had Marc McMillian who is also applying for membership as his guest.

NEW ROTARY OFFICERS
 
As some of you are already aware, due to unavoidable circumstances, Jamey Mitchell has resigned his office and membership in the Rotary Club of Hattiesburg. New employment will be relocating him to Brandon, MS. Jamey served as a member and President of our club with distinction and he will most definitely be missed.
By unanimous vote of our board, the following changes have been set in motion:
  • President-Elect, Steven Utroska, move into the role of President effective immediately to carry out the remainder of Jamey Mitchell’s term.
  • At the conclusion of the Rotary year (June 30, 2019), Steven Utroska will begin his elected term as Club President for the 2019-2020 Rotary year.
  • By a vote of the board and club, Mark Killingsworth has been officially elected President-Elect effective immediately to carry out the remainder of Steven Utroska’s 2018-2019 term. He will maintain this office through the 2019-2020 Rotary year.
  • Nominees are currently being accepted to fill four board seats that will open June 30, 2019.
Our thanks to Steven and Mark for their leadership in assuming these responsibilities.
