As some of you are already aware, due to unavoidable circumstances, Jamey Mitchell has resigned his office and membership in the Rotary Club of Hattiesburg. New employment will be relocating him to Brandon, MS. Jamey served as a member and President of our club with distinction and he will most definitely be missed.
By unanimous vote of our board, the following changes have been set in motion:
  • President-Elect, Steven Utroska, move into the role of President effective immediately to carry out the remainder of Jamey Mitchell’s term.
  • At the conclusion of the Rotary year (June 30, 2019), Steven Utroska will begin his elected term as Club President for the 2019-2020 Rotary year.
  • By a vote of the board and club, Mark Killingsworth has been officially elected President-Elect effective immediately to carry out the remainder of Steven Utroska’s 2018-2019 term. He will maintain this office through the 2019-2020 Rotary year.
  • Nominees are currently being accepted to fill four board seats that will open June 30, 2019.
Our thanks to Steven and Mark for their leadership in assuming these responsibilities.
