Mallory Donald presided over the meeting today since President Lynn Walton was not in attendance. Mallory reported that both Lynn and her husband have contracted Covid. Freddie Walter provided the opening prayer. Stew Dean led us in the Pledge of Allegiance and Mallory led us in the Four Way Test. The meeting was held at the Holiday Inn in Hattiesburg and via Zoom. Mallory reminded everyone to bring in an item for the silent auction. Matt suggested that members visit biddingforgood.com to get ideas for good auction items. As soon as enough items have been received, Matt will make our online auction active. Members will be ringing the bells for the Salvation Army during December. Richard Topp is developing the schedule. The wine-tasting and live auction will be held at Canebrake Clubhouse on February 10th. Mallory reminded members that the club will not meet the last two Tuesdays in this month. Bill MacLauchlan introduced today’s guests. Witt Sanguinetti is Lucy’s guest and Rich Boswell is Bill McLeod’s guest. Bill McLeod then introduced today’s guest speaker, Special Agent Dameon Hutto with the FBI. Agent Hutto is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and is currently stationed in the FBI’s Colorado offices. He became a sworn law officer in 1998 and began working with the FBI in 2003. |
