Forrest General Healthcare Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Forrest General Hospital. The establishment of the Foundation helps ensure that the hospital’s vision of C.A.R.E. becomes a reality for the 17 county region that this hospital serves. The Forrest General Healthcare Foundation is here to help Forrest General Hospital keep its commitment to define the healthcare experience by providing world class care. Their mission is our mission also.
For over 60 years, Forrest General Hospital has been a vital part of our community. Forrest General has led the area in providing cutting edge and state of the art medicine since opening its doors in 1952. As a Foundation the Forrest General Healthcare Foundation exists to help take this excellent care to the extraordinary level and enhance the health and wellness of our service area through a charitable gift foundation that will support the mission of Forrest General Hospital.
With a commitment to raising funds responsibly and respectfully for the enrichment of health care, and maintaining open, honest and personal communication with our donors and volunteers. The FGH Foundation’s role is to:
  • Enhance the quality of health care in our community by influencing both the quality and the timing of projects.
  • Identify those funding opportunities/priorities that have the greatest impact on improving patients’ quality of care.
  • Manage the investment and distribution of these funds and ensure full accountability back to the donor through the best stewardship practices.
