Larry Basden
Pine Woods Audubon Society

Larry discovered the hobby of birdwatching after retiring to the Hattiesburg area.  Not that he was oblivious to birds earlier in life (well, to be honest, he was) but shortly after moving here he discovered a group of individuals (Pine Woods Audubon Society) who introduced him to birds.  He soon found a way to combine his new-found hobby with a life-long hobby (photography).  The result has been several years of finding the variety of birds in the area, spending time in the outdoors, and documenting his finds with pictures.  He is currently the president of Pine Woods Audubon Society (the local chapter of the National Audubon Society).
