DESTINY BLACKWELL • TRADITION HOME HEALTH & HOSPICE CARE

Destiny Blackwell is a Care Coordinator for Traditions Health. Traditions Health provides hospice and palliative care to loved ones at end of life. These services include a doctor, nurse practitioner, RN, CNA, social worker, chaplain, and medical equipment and supplies. Destiny is originally from Hattiesburg, MS where she graduated from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science in Communications. She currently lives in Gulfport, MS and covers both the Hattiesburg community and the the gulf coast community, where she educates families and community partners on the under-utilized benefits of hospice services.
MINUTES: May 4, 2021
President Mark Killingsworth presided over today’s meeting. Gene Owens provided the opening prayer. Bill MacLauchlan led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was held at the Holiday Inn North and on Zoom.
Joe Bost and thanked those who helped with today’s meeting. He also announced that members are now encouraged to sign-up on-line to assist with future meetings. Volunteers are needed for greeters, prayers and the Pledge. Several members had guests at today’s meeting. Mark Killingsworth had two, Gene Owens had two and Bill MacLauchlan had one. They were welcomed.

Mark W. LaSalle, Ph.D.

Mark is a member of the Rotary Club of Moss Point – since 2007. He has served as Club Secretary, Membership Chair, and President. At the District level Mark has served as Assistant District Governor for the East Mississippi Territory and currently supports the District’s Membership and Foundation Committees. Professionally, Mark is a naturalist and wetland ecologist, providing expertise on wetlands, water quality and environmental impacts of humans. He has also developed and conducted a number of environmental education programs and workshops for youth, teachers, realtors, and the general public on a variety of subjects including wetlands, natural history, and environmental landscaping. Mark is a graduate of the University of Southwestern Louisiana (B.S. and M.S. degrees) and Mississippi State University (Ph.D.). He and his wife Mary have four children and nine grandchildren.
