STAGES MISSISSIPPI

Susan relaunched Stages Mississippi in the summer of 2012 as the owner and editor-in-chief. Having previously co-owned a floor covering store, she knew absolutely nothing about publishing a magazine, but she rapidly learned the business and grew Stages MS from 58 pages per issue at relaunch to 124 pages per issue where it remains consistent today. Stages Mississippi’s mission is to provide readers with a collectable resource library for all matters of homes and gardens specific to Mississippi. As a local business, Stages MS is also passionate about providing a resource guide for other businesses, large and small, across the Southeast region.

Susan is is originally from Yazoo City, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Mississippi State University, and is an avid Dawg fan. She lives in Madison and has two grown sons, a 6 year old grandson, twin 2 year old grandsons, and an Olde English Bulldogge named “Queen Sheba of Hoy.” She enjoys church fellowship, her family and friends, gardening, and anything to do with a coastal environment. She wears her heart on her sleeve, loves people, and can be found on a beach somewhere on her days off.
