CONGRESSMAN STEVEN PALAZZO

Congressman Steven M. Palazzo is proud to serve the people of South Mississippi's 4th Congressional District, which includes Mississippi's Gulf Coast and Pine Belt regions. As a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, current member of the Mississippi National Guard, and former member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, Congressman Palazzo has a record of service that began long before he was first sworn into office on January 5, 2011.

President Steven Utroska presided over today’s meeting. Mark Killingsworth gave today’s invocation and Cole Grissett led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Mark Killingworth and Wes Brooks served as our greeters today.
Mike McPhail thanked those who volunteered to help with today’s meeting. He then introduced Keith and Carolyn Horne who are visiting from the Ellisville Rotary Club.
Steven reminded members that we need volunteers to deliver our Meals on Wheels. He also encouraged members who have not yet signed up for a committee to do so soon. Check with Steven if you are unsure or would like more information on how to best serve the club. Brandon Hodges announced that Stew Deen and his wife just had their first child. Paula Brahan encouraged members to continue to bring items that can be used by hospice patients and their families.

RICHARD ROBERSON • GEN. COUNSEL, MS HOSPITAL ASSOCIATION

Richard Roberson is General Counsel and Vice President of Policy and State Advocacy for the Mississippi Hospital Association.  Prior to joining MHA, Richard practiced healthcare law and government relations in the Jackson, Mississippi office of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings.  His healthcare practice primarily focused on Medicaid and Medicare reimbursement, certificate of need and other regulatory and audit issues for a variety of healthcare clients including hospitals, physicians, dentists, pharmacies, physical therapists, hospice and nursing homes.  Before entering private practice, he spent over fifteen years in state government, most of which were spent at the Mississippi Division of Medicaid.  He received his B.A. from Baylor University and his J.D. from the University of Mississippi.
