JAIMEE DORRIS

Jaimee Dorris is a professional television host with 15 years of experience writing, shooting, hosting, producing, and marketing media. She began her career as a news reporter at WLOX-TV in Biloxi, MS, and covered the legendary storm Hurricane Katrina. In 2007, she opened her first business, Jaimee Designs Web Studio, and specialized in web design and social media marketing.

Since 2015, Jaimee has produced her own show, MS Congeniality TV, where she inspires viewers to get out of their comfort zone and live a “Life Without Borders.” She was named “Mississippi” in 2017… the official mascot for Mississippi’s 200th birthday celebration. She is currently the reigning Mrs. Mississippi American 2020.

As an advocate for Rotary International Youth Exchange, Jaimee has created a national scholarship to make youth exchange more affordable for American teens. She’s married to Joel Dorris and together they have 5 children, 3 businesses, and 1 fur baby, Dakota. 
QUARTER-3 GIVING

T•SHIRT FUNDRAISER

A big "thanks!" to those of you who have purchased a Rotary t-shirt in support of the DuBard School at Southern Miss! Some have asked when they will receive their shirts. All orders will be shipped 7-10 days after the successful completion of the campaign, i.e. when the goal of 50 shirts sold is met. 
Currently, there have been 20 shirts sold netting a profit of $105 with an additional $88 received in donations. We're almost halfway there! 
We hope you will consider purchasing a shirt if you have not already. Click the yellow and blue graphic below to select from the three different options (e.g. short sleeve, long sleeve, retro baseball-t).

MINUTES: FEBRUARY 2, 2021
President Mark Killingsworth presided over today’s meeting. A.D. Hunt provided the opening prayer. Joe Meador led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. The meeting was held at the Holiday Inn North and on Zoom. Joe Bost thanked those who helped with today’s meeting. There were no guests.
 
Wes Brooks then introduced today’s guest speaker, Mark Tullos, Jr. Mark is the President and CEO of the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience (The MAX.) Prior to coming to The MAX, Mr. Tullos served as the assistant secretary for the Louisiana Office of State Museums. He also served as the director of the Louisiana State Museum in New Orleans and was the founding director of the Walter Anderson Museum of Art. He is a graduate of LSU.
