Andrea Saffle • Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association
Andrea Saffle is the Executive Director for Historic Hattiesburg Downtown Association, where she is responsible for promoting the amenities downtown offers, coordinating project activities within the program to preserve its historic footprint, and initiating progress of economic development. Additionally, she is charged with developing partners, strong membership enrollment and other avenues of revenue through events and grant writing. 
 
Earning her degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in public relations and marketing in 1993, Saffle has extensive experience in event planning and public relations. She began her career as Marketing Director for Turtle Creek Mall, where she worked until 2009. Upon departure, she took on a new role as Marketing Coordinator for MegaGate Broadband.
 
Saffle’s experience doesn’t end in her professional endeavors. From 2010 to 2015, she served as president of the Hattiesburg Historic Neighborhood Association (HHNA), focusing on building communication efforts within the neighborhood as well as outwardly to the community at large. Such efforts included the development of the neighborhood website, Facebook and Nextdoorplatform pages, and new events such as the Downtown BBQ Showdown and the Downtown Crawfish Jam. In 2010, under her direction, HHNA earned the prestigious designation of “One of the Top 10 Neighborhoods in America” by the American Planning Association. 
 
Andrea is married to Brian Saffle, and together they have two daughters, Emily (16) and Alexis (14). They own Signs First in Hattiesburg.
