ANNIE JACKSON

Annie is the Program Director at South MS Children’s Center. Graduate of University of Alabama w/ a BS in Psychology and minor in English, a Master’s degree in Christian Studies, Wesley Biblical Seminary, and I am presently in my second year of a PhD program for Human Services Administration.  Annie has over 20 years experience in the Social Services field working with youth and adults challenged with Mental Retardation and Mental Illness, women paroled from Prison, men released from jail and youth who have been abused, neglected, and/or runaway and or homeless.  
 
She presently serves with Pine Belt Coalition for the homeless; co-chaired the Cultural Linguistic Competence for CommUnity Cares; served on Steering Committee to End Child Homelessness in MS and the Citizen Review Board; serves as Southern Regional Representative on the board of Mississippi Conference of Social Welfare; served on the Citizen Review Panel; is a certified trainer for Risking Connections (Trauma Informed Care), and the Steering Committee of MDHS Community Partners.  Annie is currently Director of South Mississippi Children’s Center, MS Children’s Home Services and has been with the agency for 13 years.
