EMILY HAVENS, THE GRAMMY LIVE AT L.A.

Emily Havens began her career as a Professional In Scouting in 1998 as a District Executive in Washington District. In 2002, she was promoted to a Field Director managing 4 executives and 15 counties in the Northwest Mississippi.

For more than 17 years, she served the Chickasaw Council in district operations, business manager at camp, camp director for 3 years, capital campaign adviser in Mississippi, special events adviser for the Delta Distinguished Citizen Dinner and golf tournament, OA Adviser, Council training committee adviser, Mississippi car tag adviser, and many other capacities. She is Woodbadge trained and has earned the Professional Circle award. She also earned the council's award of excellence, Manus-Long Award, a record 3 times in her career. She started a Women's Affinity group within the council to mentor to women.

In 2015, Havens had a special opportunity to become the Executive Director of the GRAMMY Museum Mississippi. After more than three years serving as a Board of Director, she understood the impact that this project would have...

...on this area of the country. With my experience of development, education, love of music and passion for Mississippi and the Delta area, this was an opportunity she welcomed. Havens became the Director of the Museum on January 15.

Emily Havens is very active in the community and has served as the President of Cleveland Rotary Club, Booster Club Board member at Hayes Cooper Center and on the Board of Directors of the GRAMMY Mississippi Museum. She is the Past President of the Cleveland Country Club and a past member of the Board of Directors for the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce. She is a Paul Harris Fellow and received the 2012 Chamber Award for Service. She is a Brotherhood member of the Order of the Arrow, and she is also active in her church as a Vacation Bible School volunteer.
