BILLY REDD

William H. ‘Billy’ Redd, a business leader and experienced manager, is the CEO of the Foundation for MS Wildlife, Fisheries & Parks.  Billy brings his dedication to community service and his love of the outdoors to his leadership of the organization, whose programs provide financial support for various projects associated with the MS Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.  The projects, which include Super Hunt, Youth Wildlife Art Contest, Foundation Scholarship, Archery In Schools (AIMS), tracking MS black bears, and the Governor’s Hunt, serve to protect and preserve the natural resources of the state of Mississippi.
An alumnus of Mississippi State University and with a Master in Business Administration from Millsaps College, Billy began his career with the Foundation in November 2013.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Billy worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi where he served on the Board of Directors for nine years.  From April 1997 to June 2013, Billy was the President/CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Mississippi.

Billy credits his life-long desire to give back to the community to his grandfather, J.C. Redd and dad, Richard Redd, both well-known and respected Jackson businessman and philanthropists, who were the founders and owners of Redd Pest Control.  It was at Redd Pest where Billy honed his business and managerial skills.  After graduating from MSU in 1982, he began working with the family business.  During his time there he made his way up through the ranks, beginning as a Service Technician and then being promoted to a Sales Representative, Branch Manager, Regional Manager and finally the Director of Corporate Sales.
Billy’s involvement in community service extends well beyond his career with the Foundation. He has been a volunteer fire-fighter with the City of Madison since 1994.  Because of his experiences with the Madison Fire Department, he enrolled at Hinds Community College to earn an EMT certification.  He has also served on Mississippi State Fire Department Minimum Standards & Certification Board.  Billy is a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church where he has served as Deacon, a member of the choir and men’s gospel quartet.
His other interests are private pilot, wood-working, amateur radio operating, hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Billy and his wife Nedra live in Madison and have five children and eight grandchildren.
