KENNETH THRONSON, LIGHTHOUSE RESCUE MISSION

Kenneth Thronson was born and raised in Petal, Mississippi. His father owned a collision repair business, and Ken spent his days by his side. He attended Petal High and would later join the wildcats at Pearl River Community College. He’s now married to his lovely wife, Kim, of 32 years. They have three beautiful children and five wonderful grandchildren.
After leaving PRCC, Ken joined the Navy. Once enlisted, he became an Antisubmarine Aviation Warfare Operator. As an AW, he performed pre-flight planning, scheduled training flights for simulators, set up flight schedule for each crew, provided rescue of downed pilots with emergency first aid and survival swimming among other duties.
Ken retired from the Navy and decided to take over the family collision repair business for the next twenty years. In 1993, he gave his life to Jesus Christ and became saved. Six years later, he decided it was time to close the repair shop, the oldest independent business in collision repair in the area. He prayed faithfully and felt led to open a ministry for mothers and their children. He then opened Lighthouse and purchased the current building in 2005.
