Dr. Bright is an experienced researcher based in Hattiesburg, MS. Her work is focused on social/cultural human development as it relates to health, disasters, social capital, and racialized geographies. She has experience in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, including project design, implementation, analysis, and dissemination.

Her research experience includes five years coordinating university studies. She has published one book, five peer-reviewed articles, two book chapters, and five non-peer reviewed reports. In addition, she has presented research findings at 50+ academic conferences and has teaching experience at the graduate and undergraduate levels, five research seminars, six guest lectures, two community courses, and ESL in South Korea for three years.
