Kim Wingo, USM/Hattiesburg J.A.
Kim Wingo is the Associate Director of Recruiting, Outreach and Student Programs in the School of Polymer Science & Engineering at The University of Southern Mississippi.  After receiving her undergraduate degree in communication studies from The University of Southern Mississippi, she moved to Atlanta where she began a career in IT consulting with Accenture.  In 2001, she returned to The University of Southern Mississippi to pursue her master’s degree in communications.  After completing her masters, she taught communication courses and accepted a PeopleSoft training position.   Her career then lead her to her current position in School of Polymer Science & Engineering where she has managed outreach programs for numerous National Science Foundation grants.

Kim is currently serving as the President of the Hattiesburg Chapter of Junior Auxiliary. She is an active advisor in the Epsilon Delta chapter of Chi Omega where she has served as their New Member advisor for over 15 years.  She and her husband, Davis Wingo, own Carroll Jewelry Company and are active volunteers at Venture Church.  They are proud and busy parents to Kelby (daughter) 12 and Warren (son) 9.
