Megan Burkes, USM Foundation
Megan H. Burkes is the Associate Director of Public Relations and Donor Programs for the University of Southern Mississippi Foundation. Megan has more than 12 of years of experience in public relations, fundraising, and marketing. She holds a BA in Journalism from the University of Memphis, as well as an MS in Public Relations from The University of Southern Mississippi.Burkes is a 2013 Graduate of Leadership Gulf Coast, as well as a member of the Leadership Gulf Coast board of trustees. She serves on the advisory board for The Children’s Center for Communication and Development at Southern Miss. She is a past Chair of Coast Young Professionals, a recipient of 2015 One Coast Award - Top 10 under 40, a 2016 inductee into the Coast Young Professionals Hall of Fame, as well as a recipient of 2018 Top 50 Under 40 under given by the Mississippi Business Journal.
She is a wife, mother, dog lover, and former cowgirl. An active volunteer, Megan focuses her involvement in leadership, community, communication, and building strong relationships. Megan and her family reside in Gulfport.
