Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center is a non-profit organization devoted to providing forensic interview services and advocacy to children that have been victims of child abuse. Their response helps to reduce the trauma that children and their non-offending families have to endure. Currently, Kids Hub serves the local counties of Covington, Forrest, Jefferson Davis, Lawrence, Lamar, Pearl River, and Marion. There are centers located throughout the state of Mississippi, and now the Hattiesburg facility is pleased to announce it will open its doors this summer 2015 to benefit those children and the families of the Pinebelt Area.

The Area Development Partnership Pinebelt Leadership Class of 2015 small group consisting of Stacy Ahua, Dana Berry, Brian Bledsoe, Jamie Fuqua, Tasha May and Chad Young will host the Kids Hub Carnival Day on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Town Square Park from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. This family day benefitting the Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center of Hattiesburg will bring awareness to child abuse and neglect in our Pinebelt area as well as fundraise for the Hattiesburg advocacy center. All proceeds will directly benefit the children of the Pinebelt needing the services of the Hattiesburg center. The Kids Hub Carnival Day will feature various interactive activities for young children to enjoy such as inflatables, music, food, drinks, face painting and other fun. There will also be opportunities for families to interact with various members of the First Responders of the City of Hattiesburg.
