JENNIFER MARTIN
Shriner's Hospital

In March of 2018, Jennifer joined Shriners Hospitals for Children – Shreveport, the world’s first Shriners Hospital. Shriners is a pediatric specialty hospital treating children with orthopedic issues, cleft lip and palate, and more, regardless of the family's ability to pay.

Jennifer’s background covers a broad spectrum from tourism to healthcare to state government. Prior to Shriners, Jennifer worked at the United Way, the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, Williams Creative Group, LSUHSC and in the tourism industry.

Jennifer has worked on both sides of the communications having written for The Forum News, City Life Magazine, and as a Community columnist for The Times. She is a graduate of LSU-Shreveport with a bachelor’s degree and is a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).

A Leadership Shreveport grad, she volunteers with Oakwood Home for Women and Christian Services. Jennifer serves as President for the South Shreveport Rotary Club, and a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She was recognized as a 40 Under 40 in 2014 by the Young Professionals Initiative.

She believes that happiness is a choice and that a person’s circumstances do not have to define them which is why she was drawn to Shriners.
