Abigail Allen is a native Southern Californian who graduated from The Music Institute of Technology  in 1988. Directly after graduating, she was hired by Sam Harris in the musical theater production of "Hardcopy". She then toured with Adam Ant as a back up singer and worked as a singer/songwriter in the music business for the next 15 years writing music for Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, the Olympics ad campaigns, and the X games just to name a few. In 1995 her band "Swamp Boogie Queen" was signed to a major recording deal with famed producer Phil Ramone.

SBQ  toured on and off for the next 7 years opening for Lynyrd Skynyrd and Kenny Wayne Shepherd. The group disbanded in 2005 and then quite by accident, she found herself in Hattiesburg Mississippi.

Abigail is now the program director of Art Makes Art MS at the Hattiesburg community art center as well as the outreach program coordinator for Hattiesburg Arts Council's smart space. She also co-founded Center Stage, the elementary and high school theater programs at Sacred Heart school in Hattiesburg. Abigail is the co-creator of Hattiesburlesque at the Thirsty Hippo.

She lives in the avenues with her beloved daughter Frances and husband Brad Allen and claims that you couldn't pay her $10 billion to leave Hattiesburg.
