Susan Light - The Pink Ribbon Fund 10th Anniversary

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Susan Light, a Past President of the Rotary Club of Hattiesburg, was inducted into our club July of 2005 and served through Hurricane Katrina.

Susan will visit with us on Tuesday, October 8, to give tell us about her charity, the Pink Ribbon Fund. This fund was founded in memory of Susan’s best friend, Mary, who succumbed to breast cancer in 1999 at the young age of 49.

This month is the 10th anniversary of the Pink Ribbon Fund which began with 5 women at a kitchen table. It is now a thriving 501(c)(3) with 40 volunteers serving on 4 committees. Since its inception, The Pink Ribbon Fund has contributed in excess of $750,000 to hundreds of Pine Belt breast cancer patients and survivors.
