Ryan Kelly presided over the meeting. Richard Topp provided the opening prayer.  Coty Primeaux then led the Club in the Pledge of Allegiance. Ryan then led the club in the Four Way Test. The meeting was held at the Mugshots Bar and Grill in Hattiesburg. 
 
Ryan announced that the board will meet next Tuesday immediately after the regular meeting. Officers will be installed at the June 27th meeting. The annual awards will also be presented. 
 
Annie Jackson introduced today’s guest speaker, Sean Brewer. He is Canopy Children’s Solution’ Director of Educational Solutions overseeing all of Canopy’s schools and statewide educational initiatives. He has served in this position for the past ten years. He is also a former teacher, coach, athletic director, and principal. Canopy Children’s Solutions is the largest non-profit organization in the state. It offers services for students with dyslexia and provides speech therapy, occupational therapy, and mental health counseling. They also provide training to schools relating to mental and behavioral health. 
 
Canopy currently is serving 85 children from 25 school districts across southern Mississippi. In 2022 Canopy provided behavioral health services to 2,200 children, and social services to 5,480 children. The school was opened in Jackson in 1994. It opened in the Hattiesburg area in 2009. It works in partnership with public schools in their service area.
